California Friendly Garden Design Workshop Webinar
This free online training session offered by bewaterwise.com and G3 Green Gardens Group will walk you through the step-by-step process of creating a successful Watershed Wise garden design.
A watershed garden is designed to capture and retain as much rainwater as possible. This workshop covers the critical steps needed to successfully design your own watershed-wise landscape.
You’ll learn how to:
- Contour your garden to help capture rainwater
- Create a list of climate-appropriate plants for your garden
- Place plant symbols on a site plan to address plant needs, plant function and basic design guidelines
The class will also cover the following topics:
- Rain garden and permeable landscape design and placement
- Selecting a plant palette
- The role of native plants in creating biodiversity
- Layout recommendations and Hydrozoning
- Reviewing other design considerations for maximum success
The class is free, but advance registration is required.
